How To Remove Your Phone Number From Call Registers

To stop telemarketers (salespeople) calling your home phone number, you will need to register your number on the national Do Not Call Register. This places your phone number onto an official government list which prohibits any telesales people calling your number.

It works by "registering" your number on this database (click here to do that) which is then passed to the various telemarketing agencies, etc to NOT phone your number. Submitting your phone number usually places your number onto the list pretty quickly (within a week or two) and it then takes around 31 days for it to really take effect.

If you still get calls after the 31 day timeframe, you're going to need to file a complaint with the website directly. It's definitely a long winded way of doing things, but if it means that you don't have any cold callers trying to sell you everything, then it's worth doing if you ask us!
